Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick in Pink Grapefruit review

I am a big fan of Neutrogena products so I was extremely happy when I received a Moisture Smooth Color Stick in Pink Grapefruit in my latest Walmart Beauty Box.  You can see my unboxing post here. I tried it out over the weekend and I was really impressed. It went on smooth and felt lick a really nice lip balm.  The color was a pretty pink and looked really good.  I look forward to seeing how it looks with different color lip liners. This lipstick will most certainly be in heavy rotation.   Below is a swatch.

Winter & Spring 2016 Walmart Beauty Box Unboxing

The Walmart Beauty Box rarely disappoints; and the winter  2016 box is no exception. Included are a variety of samples that i'm looking forward to. First we have the L'Oreal Paris Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Restoring Shampoo and the L'Oreal Paris Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Restoring Conditioner .  I've never tried this brand before but I have a few trips coming up so I will give this a try.  Next is the  Ken Paves You Are Beautiful Smoothing Conditioner, Ken Paves You Are Beautiful Smoothing Shampoo and the Ken Paves You Are Beautiful Thick Conditioning Mask. Again another brand I haven't tried before but i'm really excited about the mask.  My hair needs some TLC. Probably the product i'm most excited to try is the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Facial Cleanser with white tea and vitamin E. I love every Neutrogena product that I have tried especially the face cleansers.  I have high hopes for this new face wash.  On first impressions the scent is amazing.  Also included is the Aussie Mega Hairspray.  This is perfect timing for me since I just finished my hairspray on my last trip.  This is definitely going with me on my upcoming travels. The final sample included in the Winter 2016 box is the NIVEA Soft Moisturizing Creme.  I have bought this creme twice already and I love.  The scent is so delicate and nice.  The texture is soft and deeply moisturizing. This sample will be gone real quick.  Overall i'm really excited about this box and will let you know what I think.  

First things first will you look at this box.  It is so pretty and so was the products inside.  I was so happy when I open this box and saw all of the great items inside.  First up is Colgate's Optic White Platinum Express White Fresh Mint Toothpaste. This is my favorite toothpaste and it really whitens your teeth and leaves your breath feeling fresh. Also inside was Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer with Nourishing Monoi Oil. The idea of using lotion in the shower makes me nervous; I envision putting it on and than proceeding to slip and break my neck.  Death by lotion will be written on my tombstone. I'll still give it a try but if you see no more blog posts from me you'll know what happened. Next up is the Banana Boat SunComfort SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion. With summer coming this will come in handy for all of the trips to the beach.  I'm always searching for great facial cleansers and one of the b est ones I've ever tried is Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. This will definitely be getting used up. I'm really looking forward to trying out the RoC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Chest, Neck, & Face Cream. I will probably pass the Curel Rough Skin Rescue Lotion since she has really dry skin.  Dove makes really great body was but I have never tried the Dove Dry Oil Moisture Body Wash.  It doesn't really have a scent but sometimes that is good.  I don't like when the scent of my soap interferes with the perfume i'm wearing.   The product I am most excited about in the spring 2016 box is the Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick in the color Pink Grapefruit.  I am a lipstick junkie and this color is beautiful.  **Does Happy Dance**

Beauty Haul

I don't know if I mentioned it but i'm about to move from Colorado to North Carolina. Hello humidity! So I started thinking about what changes I will need to make in my beauty routine.  I heard great things about the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel moisturizer.  I heard the gel format will work better in the humidity. So I decided to give it a try.  First impression is that is it really smooth and smells great.  So far I like it but I will let you know if that changes.  I also picked up the Chapstick three pack of the seasonal flavors in Mango Sunrise,Watermelon Splash and Aloha Coconut. I love these.  Although I must confess I am a Chapstick junkie and am quite possible addicted.  Is that even possible?  I also am crazy for anything watermelon flavored.  Of course I can't pass up a new scandaleyes eye shadow stick. I don't know how I have manged to never get this color but somehow I never picked up Naughty Navy.  How cute is that name? Finally Walgreen's was having a last chance sale on some of the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick.  So I picked up Notting Hill Nude and Coral Britannia. These ares some of my favorite lipsticks because they are so affordable and come in great colors.  These two colors are definitely beautiful. This Week I Am...

This week I am…

Looking Forward to… having a yard sale this weekend.  I can’t wait to get rid of all this clutter from around the house.  A lot of what I am selling if the result of a massive closet clean out.  Cleaning out the closet is a huge task but a necessary one at least once a year. 

Planning… My next vacay!! I love a road trip.  I try to plan one every year.  This year my mom and I are hitting the south.  Our first stop is Houston to see the family and then on the New Orleans.  From there we will hit Panama Beach Florida and then on to North Carolina.  After visiting the family in North Carolina we will head back home to Colorado with a stop in Memphis to see Graceland.  I hope Graceland is as cheesy as I am expecting. 

Reading…  I started on the book Crossfire by James Patterson.  It is the next book in the Alex Cross series.  I love this series and I am close to being caught up.  I highly recommend this series if you love good murder mysteries.  I have to say the movies made from these books have been very disappointing. 

Can’t Wait For… The Entourage movie.  I loved the TV show and am so glad they made a movie with these characters. 

Loving… All of the new makeup I recently purchased.  Avon has lip liners on sale right now so I got four of those.  I also purchased from Avon a couple of the Dew Kiss lip balms and two lipsticks in the colors of mauve ice and totally twig.  The Dew Kiss lip balms are a must have.  Additionally I picked up a couple of eye shadows.  The first one is from Maybelline in silken taupe and the second one is the cover girl quad shadow in pure romance. 

Watching… Season finales!! All of my favorite shows are ending for the season.  I don’t know how I’ll get through the summer without The Vampire Diaries, Reign or Scandal. 

Grieving… The loss of the Mindy Project. 

Empties!!!!

This month seem like it was all about the lotion. I finished up a few bottles that I just had a little bit left.The freshwater cucumber lotion from Bath and Body Works is one of my favorites but unfortunately it's discontinued. The eucalyptus spearmint lotion will definitely wake you up if you're sleepy. I love how light the suave lotion is and the scent is real nice. It's not an overpowering scent. I absolutely love the Calgon Tahitian Orchid line of products. It is definitely one I'm repurchasing. I also used up a Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer this month. I wish they made this margarita scent in a shower gel. One last thing I forgot to put in the picture is a cucumber melon shower gel from Bath and Body Works. I can't even tell you how many of those I have purchased over the years. I definitely will be repurchasing that.

Product Spotlight

I am obsessed with this new body wash by Suave in the almond verbena scent. This is definitely a new favorite.  The same scent also came in a deodorant. I wish it came in a lotion. It has a light scent that isn't overpowering.  I love how creamy and silky it is.  Bubbles for days.  

Product Spotlight: Beyonce Heat Perfume

I bought Beyonce Heat Perfume for 50% off the day after Christmas.  I hadn't smelled it before I bought it but for $2,50 I could take a chance on it.  I loved it.  It is not too strong and the vanilla really comes through.  It is a really good choice to wear to work since it is not too overpowering.  This is a small bottle but even the bigger bottles are really affordable.  Let me know what you think of this scent and any others you love.  I provided the link to purchase above and again below.

September Fave's

Hey dolls!! I thought i'd share with you some of my favorite things from this past month.  I love the Nicole Richie perfume.  It smells so good and the bottle is just gorgeous.  Next is the Suave dry shampoo.  I love the fact that this product is only like $3 and it has a heavenly fruity scent.  The Sally Hansen double duty base and top coat is the only top coat I will use.  It really helps the polish last longer and prevents chips.  The Jergens cherry almond scented hand cream is so soft and the scent last a long time.  Recently Cover Girl introduced their glosstinis mini nail polishes.  I have Bahama mama which is a very sparkly coral color. I also have pina colada, a pretty yellow color. A new find this month which I am head over heels for is the Rimmel stay glossy lip gloss.  I currently own the the non stop glamour, lights camera action, always lovely, unlimited gold and endless summer.  Of course I always have my blistex around. Last but definitely not least are the Rimmel scandaleyes eyes shadow sticks. I have paranoid purple, blamed blue, blackmail and bulletproof beige.  These are shadow sticks but I love to use them like eye liner.  The black reminds me of my favorite eyeliner from benefit the bad gal big eyeliner stick. Bath & Body Works Haul

Hi dolls!!! I hit up Bath and Body Works the other day for some essentials.  I stocked up on some foaming hand soap and got some new scents such as bella flora and tangerine along with some old faves like warm vanilla sugar, white citrus and cucumber melon.  I wasn't that impressed with the Bella Flora scent when I opened it.  

Also picked up white citrus shower gel and hand cream, pink chiffon hand cream and a whole bunch of hand sanitizer. (l to r pink frosting, pink lemonade, pink champagne, flip flopped fruit and pink diamond) 

Product Spotlight: XOXO Body Splash & Shower Gel

My first Bodycology products!!! This smells so sweet.  I love it.  With a blend of lemon sorbet, raspberries and musk you'll be captivated by the sweet scent. I can't wait to try some of the other scents.  

Bath and Body Works Haul

Hi dolls! I know it's been awhile but I promise to make it up to you.  Ok I had to go over to Bath & Body Works since it's bee forever since I have been there   I was in desperate need of some soap and hand sanitizer.  They were having a 5 for $15 sale on the hand soap and a 5 for $5 sale on the sanitizer.  I tried out some new scents too.  I got fresh picked peach and bella flora hand soaps.  I also got some favorites with warm vanilla sugar, white citrus and cucumber melon hand soap.  I love this scent so I had to get some white citrus shower gel and hand cream.  How cute is my pink chiffon hand cream? last but not least I got flip flopped fruit, pink champagne, pink lemonade, pink diamonds and pink frosting hand sanitizers.  TTFN

Ulta, Target Haul

Had some stocking up to do. Hit up my favorite store Target and got the Sonia Kashuk brush and spronge cleaner spray.  I've heard great things about it. Also picked up some grey nail polish by NYC called side-walkers   I'm thinking it's going to be a dark neutral  Finally I get to play around with the tattoo eye shadow.  I've been dying to try it.  Let me know if you have already.  The colors I got are tough as taupe and bad to the bronze.  Next stop was Ulta for some baby lips and nail polish.  I picked up a really cute coral polish by Essie called tart deco and one of the newer polishes by OPI call a woman's Prague a tiv.  It's a pretty bronze.  Ta Ta for now

Product Spotlight

One of my recent fragrance purchases, Pink Ice from Rue 21.  If you have never been to Rue 21 you definitely need to go.  They have the cutest clothes and accessories   And they are affordable.  This bottle of perfume is only $9.99. It has a really light sweet scent, perfect for everyday.

Last week I purchased the Blistex Raspberry lemonade lip balm and i'm not sure I like it.  What do you guys think? I am in love with the JR Watkins hand soap though.
