Shoes and art collide

I'm not sure how you'd walk in these but they are beautiful to look at.  Emilio Pucci took it to a whole new level with these gorgeous shoes.  They belong in a museum somewhere.  They are also available in black.

Beauty Resolutions

1. Take better care of my skin. I need to be more diligent with using toner and applying moisturizer. I have used my favorite Clinque dramatically different moisturizing lotion since I was a teen.

2. Keep my brows in shape.  I hate tweezing but it is a must.  The brows frame the face and must be keep under control.  I am in love with Avon's ergonomic tweezers.  I must have 6 of them.

3. I have a ton of nail polish and I need to use it.  I'm going to change my polish more often.  One of my favorites is Essie's wicked.

4. I love face masks.  Unfortunately I never remember to use them.  I need to get on a regular schedule of using one once a week.  I love the little face mask packets from Montagne Jeunesse passion peel off face mask.

5.  Like using a face mask I need to exfoliate more often.  I have really luxurious body scrub that smells like cucumber melon that I want to try out.  Of course you can't forget St. Ives Apricot Scrub.

Book Review: Hearse and Buggy by Laura Bradford

I love books set in Amish country and mysteries set there are hard to find.  This one didn't disappoint.  I really liked the main characters and can't wait to see what happens between Claire and her two love interests.  I saw a few editing flaws but other than that I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the rest of the series.

2013 Golden Globes Fashion Winners

I absolutely love this Monique Lhuillier dress worn by Juliane Hough.  This was my favorite of the night.  I think this would make an amazing wedding dress.

Julia Louis Dreyfus celebrated her birthday the same night as the Golden Globes and looked amazing in this Vera Wang gown.  I can't believe she is 52.  Work it!

I love that Lucy Liu worn something out of the ordinary for awards shows.  This dress from Carolina Herrera is beautiful.  If all else fails Lucy can give the gown to her grandmother to recover a couch with.
OK just kidding, but I really do love this.

Wow Jennifer Lopez if just stunning in this gown by Zuhair Murad.  She shows off every curve in a classy way.  Very age appropriate and sexy at the same time.

Resolutions

Ok I know i'm late but better late than never. I think of these more as life resolutions than new years resolutions anyway.  so here we go...

1) Drink more water and less soda! I write this as I sip on a coke...FAIL!

2) Be punctual.  I am on time most of the time but I am aiming for 100%

3) Keep up to date with my writing and blogging.  I have a long list of topics I want to write about but keep procrastinating.

4) Finish my to do list.  This list never seems to go away.  I swear some things have been there forever.  I just need to find a way to permanently get rid of do laundry and clean house.

5) Work out.  Bet you'd never thought that would be on there lol.  I really got to get healthy.

6) Read more.  Yes it can be done and I will do it.  I have a goal of one day reading 100 books in a year.

7) Be less lazy.  This is why the to do list never ends

8) Work on goals.  I will never reach them if I never work on them.

Book Review: Offside by M.G. Higgins

Faith is just your average teen with her hands full of problems and a soccer ball at her feet. Between helping her single mom care for her younger siblings, being behind in her schoolwork and being teased by Caitlin life is hectic. All Faith wanted was to play soccer. Luckily for her Coach Berg saw her potential and moved her from the bench to midfield. If only all her problems could be solved so easily. M.G. Higgins has written a fantastic story that any teen girl can relate to.  I would love to see more books with these characters.

Happy New Years!!!

Well I don't usually make new years resolutions but maybe this year will be different.  I sure can use a change in my life.  I'll make the usual resolution to get in better shape.  I'll do my best to stick to it but it's so hard.  I'll also make a resolution to always be true to myself because sometimes I do for others at the expense of myself.  That can be damaging.  Especially when they don't appreciate it or reciprocate it.  Finally i'll make the resolution to be more in tune with my heart and really focus on what I want out of life.  I really need to buckle down and do this so that I can make a plan to get on the right path.  God has a purpose for me and I need to find out what it is.
